What We're Looking For
We're seeking either:
One versatile professional who can handle both account management and content creation (Orange County preferred)
Two specialists - one focused on account management (remote OK) and one on content creation (Orange County preferred)
Potentially 2 hires if the right fit for the account management role is remote! Or vice versa :)
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Administrative tasks and client communication
Project coordination and timeline management
Client relationship building and maintenance
Performance reporting and analytics
Strategic planning and campaign execution
Content Creation & Strategy
Social media content scheduling and posting
Video editing and post-production
Caption writing and copywriting
Content ideation and creative brainstorming
Community engagement and social media management
Attending and assisting with content shoots
On-location content shooting for clients
Brand voice development and maintenance
Additional Responsibilities
Social media trend research and analysis
Competitive analysis and market research
Content calendar development and management
Client onboarding and strategy presentations
Cross-platform content optimization
Brand guideline creation and maintenance
Influencer outreach and partnership coordination
Campaign performance analysis and optimization
LONG STORY SHORT: WE APPROACH SOCIAL MEDIA, CONTENT AND MANAGEMENT in a very unique way. Will spend the first month training and onboarding you onto client tasks (approximately 2-3 clients to start) and then would like to get you on more projects as we grow if capacity allows for you.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 1-3 years in social media marketing, content creation, or account management (this is relative > if you know your stuff and it’s only been 3 months that is fine by me)
Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing software, social media scheduling tools, and analytics platforms
Creative Eye: Strong visual storytelling abilities and understanding of brand aesthetics
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organization: Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Growth Mindset: Genuine interest in growing with Sam Schmidt Social long-term
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and any additional platforms
Content Creation (iPhone) experience required for content role
Video editing experience required for any and all roles
Previous social media experience and/or marketing experience
Understanding of social media advertising and content creation
